Terms of Service
Last updated Oct 30, 2026
These terms govern your use of progmedlab.com, the progmedlab API and the laboratory services ordered through them. By creating an account or submitting an order you accept these terms. If you integrate on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
1. What progmedlab is — and is not
progmedlab provides software infrastructure that routes laboratory test orders to independent, CLIA-certified laboratories and returns structured results. We are not a healthcare provider, we do not practise medicine, and we do not diagnose, treat, prescribe or give medical advice.
Laboratory services are performed by the partner laboratory that accepts the order. Clinical review of results is performed by licensed professionals engaged by the laboratory or by your ordering clinician.
2. Accounts, API keys and security
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter binding contracts. You are responsible for keeping API keys, webhook secrets and account credentials confidential, and for all activity under them.
Keys are scoped per environment. Sandbox keys must not be used with real patient data. You must notify us immediately at security@progmedlab.com if a key is compromised; we will rotate it and review access logs.
3. Ordering, consent and eligibility
You are responsible for obtaining valid informed consent from each individual before an order is submitted, and for ensuring that the order is authorised by a licensed clinician in the jurisdiction where the specimen is collected.
You must not submit orders for individuals who lack capacity to consent, for employment or insurance eligibility decisions, or for any purpose prohibited by applicable law. Certain assays are restricted in some jurisdictions and will be rejected at order validation.
4. Pricing, payment and refunds
Prices are published per test and per panel in USD and may change with 30 days notice. Volume tiers apply per calendar month and are calculated on completed orders.
Payment is processed by Stripe, Creem or Paddle, or settled in USDC on Base or Polygon. Available providers are configurable per region and shown at checkout.
If a specimen is rejected by the laboratory for reasons within our control, the order is recollected at no charge. If an order is cancelled before collection, the test fee is refunded in full. Fees for kits already shipped are not refundable.
5. Results, turnaround and no warranty of fitness
Turnaround times are estimates based on historical medians, not guarantees. Laboratory results can be delayed by specimen quality, logistics or analytical re-runs.
Results are provided as data for use by licensed clinicians and by software you operate under clinical supervision. You may not present results to end users as a diagnosis, and you must display the medical disclaimer we provide wherever results are shown.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the services is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or clinical outcomes.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
7. Suspension, termination and governing law
We may suspend an account immediately where an order pattern suggests fraud, unlawful testing, or risk to patient safety. Otherwise either party may terminate on 30 days written notice; outstanding orders are completed and unpaid fees become due.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in your order form, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved by negotiation first, then binding arbitration in that jurisdiction.
